Job Title: Project Manager – ERP Implementation (NetSuite)
Contract: 6 Months (Minimum 2 days onsite per week)
Rate: £400 - £550 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Remote/Hybrid
Start Date: Immediate
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to oversee the implementation of a new NetSuite ERP system. This role is offered on a contractor basis, outside IR35, for a six-month contract requiring a minimum of two full days per week. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of experience in managing successful ERP implementations, with specific expertise in NetSuite.
As a key contributor, you will guide our client through a comprehensive transformation, ensuring that processes, infrastructure, and people are ready for a seamless transition to NetSuite. The role demands excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders, senior management, and the implementation partner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Analysis and Planning
* Conduct 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' Analysis.
* Facilitate sessions with key stakeholders to document current business processes ('As-Is').
* Define desired future processes ('To-Be') and outline expected benefits from NetSuite implementation.
1. Define Project Objectives
* Develop a clear project overview, including objectives, strategies, and success metrics.
* Present plans and objectives to stakeholders for approval.
2. Develop Project Plan
* Collaborate with the implementation partner to outline key stages, deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.
3. Team and Stakeholder Management
* Establish Project Team.
* Assist to form a cross-functional team and clearly define roles and responsibilities.
* Ensure team members are informed about commitments and workloads.
* Collaborate with Senior Management to redefine job responsibilities in line with new processes.
* Establish Steering Group to provide strategic guidance and oversight.
4. System and Process Readiness, Quality Control
* Validate System Requirements to ensure configurations align with 'As-Is' and 'To-Be' requirements.
* Ensure IT infrastructure supports NetSuite’s cloud-based environment.
* Ensure supporting systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint) are integrated.
5. Project Quality Control
* Review the project business blueprint and ensure the timely and quality of the deliverables.
6. Implementation and Testing
* Plan and Prepare for Data Migration.
* Oversee data cleansing, validation, and formatting for migration.
* Ensure the sandbox is operational for testing.
* Work with the implementation partner to create detailed UAT scripts.
7. Training and Change Management
* Create and deliver a training program to ensure staff readiness.
* Implement strategies to help staff adapt to new processes.
8. Risk, Budget, and Progress Monitoring
* Develop a risk management plan and track issue resolution.
* Ensure adherence to project schedules and financial constraints.
* Provide regular updates to the steering group on milestones, risks, and resolutions.
Required Skills and Experience
* 10+ years of experience managing successful ERP implementations.
* Strong expertise in Oracle ERP/NetSuite implementation is highly desirable.
* Big 4, Accenture, Capgemini or equivalent background is desirable.
* Excellent knowledge of business process analysis, system integration, and data migration.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive results within tight deadlines.
* Experience with risk management, budget oversight, and change management.
* Immediate availability and ability to commit to a minimum of two full days per week.
Contract Details
* Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension.
* Rate: £400 - £550 per day, depending on experience.
* Status: Outside IR35.
* Location: Remote or hybrid working arrangement.
