Team Summary
The role forms part of the HR Expert Services team, supporting the delivery of the HR strategy and the implementation of strategic initiatives across a broad range of HR functional areas. This role requires HR expertise in multiple skill sets supporting managers with key people interventions.
You will be working with our organisation's leaders, managers and staff networks and therefore will need to be confident in your judgement to make decisions - you’ll be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels to gain feedback and coach, suggest and take forward improvements. You will have excellent influencing and relationship building skills, especially as problem-solving and identifying effective and workable solutions will be an important part of the role.
Job Description
* Engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels to generate commitment to the Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) goals, providing comprehensive advice and consultancy on specific I&D issues.
* Work with HR, Internal Communications Team and the Staff Networks to develop, review and implement our inclusion and diversity strategy communication plans as well as monitor and report on progress to senior leadership.
* Manage reporting requirements to demonstrate progress against the I&D strategy and I&D measures required by Civil Service HR and by law. Analyse, draft and prepare reports, presentations, and briefing notes on an ongoing or ad hoc basis, including responding to PQs, FOI and other written and oral briefing as necessary.
* Assist in developing, updating, and facilitating material to instruct employees and managers on how to best include, empower and inspire colleagues – accommodating and appreciating individual differences and leveraging those differences to benefit the company within the smarter working environment.
* Support the production of mandated and ad-hoc reports, such as the Gender/Ethnicity Pay Gap reports, and other data to validate the need for change.
* Support the HR Services team with the coaching of line managers to increase confidence and capability.
* Using data and insight from a range of sources to develop evidence-based initiatives and products to support the delivery of the HR strategy.
* Support the preparation and delivery of the CCS People Survey.
* Work on key projects - this is likely to be a combination of leading directly on projects and contributing / leading on work streams. Working with various stakeholders around the business to understand requirements and apply your knowledge and experience to implement best practice / fit for purpose solutions.
* Provide input to trade union relationships to foster effective working relationships and enable appropriate changes to policies around inclusion and diversity.
Person specification
Essential Criteria (to Be Assessed At Application)
* Experience of working in an HR function with working knowledge of HR principles and practices, ideally diversity and inclusion.
* Demonstrated competence in using HR analytics to provide evidence-based guidance and advice.
* Demonstrated evidence of a systematic approach to planning, tracking and reporting strategy implementation.
* Ability to work collaboratively and confidently with stakeholders and colleagues including the senior leadership of the organisation through the use of effective coaching, constructive challenging, influencing and negotiating skills.
* Ability to build and maintain a network of colleagues and allies and to foster relationships at all levels, promoting cooperation and work collaboratively within and across locations, to support an inclusive work environment.

Working flexibly, delivering outcomes
CCS is a flexible business with a smarter working model where our colleagues benefit from a mix of home and office working. Successful candidates are expected to work from one of the office locations listed. Our current office attendance approach requires a minimum of 26 days per quarter (approx 2 days per week, which may be subject to change) in CCS office locations or off site meetings with suppliers, customers, partners, networking / industry events. This is pro rata for those who work part time.
