The Role – Visitor and Retail Supervisor
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Visitor and Retail team as a Visitor and Retail Supervisor. The successful candidate will lead the planning and delivery of all visitor and retail operations at The R&A World Golf Museum, covering admissions, galleries, and retail areas. They will work with the Visitor & Retail Team Leader to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively, providing a memorable customer experience.
The role requires acting as a public-facing ambassador for the museum, working with the Commercial Manager to set and maintain high service standards. The supervisor will lead and develop the visitor and retail team to ensure these standards are consistently met. Additionally, the role includes deputising for the Commercial Manager and the wider museum team as needed to meet departmental objectives.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position (12 months) working 35 hours per week. The working schedule will be determined by a rota, and weekend work will be required.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and attributes:
* Experience in a supervisory or management retail role
* Strong understanding of sales, merchandising, upselling, and display techniques
* Proficiency with technology and Microsoft Office products
* Experience with cash handling and EPOS management systems
* Experience liaising with external stakeholders, e.g., tour operators
* HNC/D level qualification or equivalent experience

About The World Golf Museum
The R&A World Golf Museum, located at the heart of the home of golf, has recently redeveloped its galleries to offer visitors a unique, interactive experience into golf's history.
