Mechanical Installation Engineer Location: Norwich Area Salary: From £35,000 per year (dependent on qualifications and experience) Contract: Full-time, subject to a three-month probation period Overview: A well-established and expanding company is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join its growing team. This role involves fabrication, installation, and maintenance of pumping systems across various projects. Key Responsibilities: Installation and mechanical support for pumping systems in both commercial and domestic environments. Servicing, fault diagnosis, and maintenance of clean and dirty water systems. On-site management of installation projects, working closely with the Manager from quotation to completion. Technical support for customers and staff, ensuring projects meet recognized industry standards. TIG and MMA pipe welding on stainless steel (SS) and carbon steel (CS) pipelines (desirable). Interpretation of Layout and P&ID drawings and understanding of control equipment (desirable). Managing weekend/evening emergency callouts on a rota with other engineers. Qualifications and Experience: NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field or at least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering. CSCS/ECS Card (required). Knowledge of lifting operations and pipework installations (desirable). Additional Information: Standard 39-hour work week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Overtime may be required.
