You will maximize site operational performance by providing leadership, managing customer requirements and ensuring that the strategic plan, which you will be expected to have input into, is implemented effectively. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week. Key Duties of a Regional General Manager: Managing the day to day activities of the multiple Warehouse and Transport operations. Ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse operations including financial management, performance management and Health, Safety & Welfare. Managing and developing commercial agreements with customers while ensure exceptional levels of service to customers. Providing client operational and commercial development to ensure that partnerships are mutually beneficial. Providing strong visible leadership in order to ultimately manage all staff through performance, management and training. Managing the product, the clients and the customers from the point the product enters the warehouse until it arrives at its ultimate destination. Ensuring cases handled, labour turnover, customer service levels, transport utilisation and profitability are measured through continuous improvement in KPIs. Reviewing performance of warehouse and business, along with customers expectations against targets achieved. Constantly reviewing, communicating and improving performance, both business and customer. Profit, loss and budget setting for the warehouse. Leading and driving a culture of Health & Safety and compliance. Acting as a champion to all company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across the workforce. Effectively communicating across all departments and sites, actively involving the workforce through regular reviews, management meetings and Head Office reporting. Maintaining a high standard of repair and maintenance of both the fabric of the building and all equipment. Guide managers who are well-trained, motivated and reinforce the businesses direction. A proven track record in leading and developing a large warehouse and transport operations team. Qualifications Extensive transport and warehouse operational knowledge within aFMCG environment. Good working knowledge of the sector and relevant operational practices. Understanding of Open and Closed book accounts. Proven record of successful customer interface and supplier management. Experience of managing a diverse workforce with particular emphasis on managing third party contractors. Experience of managing budgets. Experience of running multiple sites is highly desirable. Able to bring about maximised depot financial performance. Confident Manager, skilled at setting clear objectives and motivating teams to achieve them.
