Candidate Profile:
* Qualifications: Ideally, an electrical apprenticeship with a Level 3 engineering qualification.
* Experience: A minimum of 2 years post-apprenticeship experience with a strong multi-skilled background.
* Skills: Expertise in PLCs, pneumatics, control systems, and general maintenance.
* Availability: Willingness to work shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, including the use of PPE, and follow all Health & Safety guidelines.
* Health & Safety Promotion: Foster a culture of safety by actively supporting Health & Safety policies and encouraging safe working practices.
* Machine Maintenance: Perform repairs and troubleshoot material converting machinery, addressing both electrical and mechanical issues while maintaining a safe work space.
* Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance tasks according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and scheduled work plans.
* Inventory Management: Efficiently manage inventory, maintaining optimal stock levels through effective use of inventory systems.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives that support the company's objectives, particularly related to Cost to Order (CTO).
* Project Leadership & Training: Lead projects, mentor team members, and contribute to building a world-class technical team.
* Skill Development: Take advantage of learning opportunities to enhance your skills and advance within the organisation.
* Additional Duties: Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned.
