Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale D: £8,332 to £8,471 pro-rata per annum (Actual) (£23,500 - £23,893 full time/full year equivalent)
Fixed Term: until 31st August 2025
Part Time: 15 hours per week over 3 days (Days can be flexible across the week and can be discussed at interview)
Working Weeks: Term Time plus 1 week (39 weeks)
Great Yarmouth Charter Academy is looking for an experienced, first-rate administrator to join the business support team, with responsibility for coordinating the school’s wide range of extracurricular and enrichment activities.
This is a varied and busy role which involves organising the school’s rich extracurricular enrichment programmes and other activities such as trips, alongside supporting the business support team with various administrative tasks. The successful candidate will need to be methodical in their approach with excellent organisational and communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have:
1. Good level of education preferably including GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
2. Experience of development, management and operation of organisational and administrative procedures
3. Experience of working in a busy business / school environment
4. Ability to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision in a highly professional and confidential manner
5. Excellent IT skills, including being skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in dealing with a wide range of visitors / stakeholders
Charter was rated as good by Ofsted in July 2019. Ofsted stated that there are high expectations of behaviour which leads to a calm, purposeful learning environment. The academy believes in outstanding behaviour, clear routines and supporting teachers to deliver subject content. Progress 8 for Charter in 2022 was this is in the top 20% of schools nationally.
