We now have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Reception Manager to join our Front Office Department.
Responsibilities:
* Be welcoming and approachable to all guests visiting the hotel.
* Retrieve guest information from the Park Regis Hotel database and update information as appropriate for each guest.
* Make guest reservations and book correctly onto the hotel booking system. Ensure updates on bookings are managed in a timely manner to ensure service and occupancy is not compromised.
* Know and conduct Standard Operating Procedures for day and night shifts and be conversant with all areas of Front Office Procedures.
* Strictly follow the Park Regis Hotel Brand Standard policy and Laws in terms of Data Protection and Personal Identifiable Information and ensure the front office team (including Nights) is aware and trained in this area.
* Ensure accurate control measures are implemented and communicated to staff for cash handling, till and banking, and ensure adherence by all members of staff at all times.
* Manage the daily running of the department by providing supervisor support such as voiding transactions, amending transactions, and managing customer and staff complaints.
* Assist in achieving targets that have been set for the department, such as room revenue and upselling, and monitor performance, including individual member's targets.
* Create and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in the Reception team and other departments throughout the hotel.
* Support the team in times of staff shortages and cover absences when possible.
* Assist in carrying out 4-week and 26-week reviews on all employees under your direction.
* Ensure that appraisals are conducted, in your responsibility, on an annual basis.
* As an Assistant Manager, you will also be rostered for Duty Manager where you will perform Duty Manager duties and have ownership of Duty Manager responsibilities.
