Overview of Department
The Human Resources department provides support and advice to managers and staff on HR and Development matters. Some of our key focus areas include recruiting staff, providing support for team and personal training and development, anticipating future resource needs of the organisation and ensuring that our reward and benefits packages are competitive.
Purpose of Role
We are seeking a Resourcing Specialist on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with previous agency or in-house recruitment expertise, to join our Experienced Hires Resourcing Team and help us manage the anticipated volumes of recruitment in 2025.
You’ll be responsible for partnering with hiring managers to support their recruitment needs across both permanent and fixed-term roles, ensuring every candidate has a positive experience and hiring managers feel supported and empowered to make great hiring decisions.
Responsibilities
* Partner with hiring managers to facilitate the recruitment process, providing constructive challenge, to help them attract talented individuals to their teams.
* Support internal mobility across the firm, ensuring internal talent is explored for all opportunities.
* Where required, work with our recruitment suppliers to attract talent to the firm, building strong relationships and reviewing service delivery.
* Be proactive in our approach to finding alternative ways of attracting candidates to Baillie Gifford.
* Ensure the recruitment process aligns with Baillie Gifford's policies, embedding diversity and inclusion throughout.
* Ensure effective utilization of technology across the recruitment process and utilize data to provide insight into our recruitment activities.
* Analyze relevant data and bring external insight to drive continuous improvement across our recruitment processes.
Your skills and experience:
* Demonstrable recruitment experience, from an agency or in-house resourcing function.
* Evidence of having a proactive approach and being comfortable thinking independently about both today and tomorrow’s resourcing challenges.
* The ability to provide insight into best practice recruitment approaches and developments across different industries.
* The ability to simplify complex problems, processes or projects to effectively deliver change.
* Strong influencing skills and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels.
* Data confidence, with the ability to draw insights and identify trends.
