Job Introduction
From the World Cup to the Summer and Winter Olympics, BBC Sport is at the heart of the world’s major sporting events. We are looking for a Production Manager to join our team, working across our Premier League football programmes initially.

Main Responsibilities
In this role you will:
* Contribute to setting up productions, ensuring resources and editorial aspirations are aligned.
* Comply with BBC policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements while managing resources efficiently.
* Ensure all necessary rights are acquired for the delivery of programmes.
* Manage the financial and operational performance of productions.
* Prepare, manage, and monitor production budgets, forecasting and reporting progress.
* Ensure production teams adhere to processes for managing metadata in line with BBC guidelines.
* Efficiently deploy approved technologies on productions.
* Work with colleagues to implement plans to reduce environmental impact across coverage.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have:
* A passion for and knowledge of sport and the wider sport industry.
* Experience of delivering productions on time and on budget.
* Experience of monitoring health and safety on productions.
* Knowledge of end-to-end multi-platform production.
* Knowledge of commissioning and green light procedures.
* The ability to advise on production systems and support new technologies.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Organisational skills in fast-paced environments.
* The ability to interpret editorial briefs and suggest ideas.
* Strong negotiating skills.
* Team leadership skills.
* Business and finance skills for managing production resources and budgets.
* Experience supervising or line managing production staff.
