Job title: Executive Advisor
Salary range:Circa £110,000 per annum, pro rata
Contract Terms: 0.2 - 0.4 FTE, 6 months fixed term contract on KSS AHSN Ltd Terms (trading as Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex)
Base: Hybrid working; with principal place of business at The Beehive, Ring Road, Gatwick, RH6 0PA
Location:Crawley, Sussex.
The role will cover the whole of Kent, Surrey, Sussex geography and the postholder will be required, at times, to travel in and around the geography and periodically outside of the KSS geography.

Job purpose
The Executive Advisor will support the Executive Management Group (EMG) collectively and individually (principally) as it transitions into a leadership team working to deliver the organisation's refreshed vision and strategic priorities. The Executive Advisor may also provide input to the wider board and attend board meetings from time to time on invitation from the Chair.
Key responsibilities of the role
* Active participation in the Executive Management Group (EMG) meetings as an advisor to support the executive team to work towards the organisations refreshed vision and strategic priorities and help the organisation onto a pathway of growth.
* Coaching of individual executive and senior leadership team members within the organisation. Observing and moderating on occasion Senior Leadership Team meetings.
* Adding capacity to the executive team for pressing strategic and operational priorities on a needs by basis, not restricted to portfolio area.
* Engagement with key external stakeholders inclusive of but not restricted to the National and other individual Health Innovation Network partners, NHS England, Department of Health and Social Care, Industry on areas relevant to business growth, partnership, and allowing the organisations executive team to draw upon best practices elsewhere.

* Acts alongside the Executive Management Group as a role model for our behaviours, culture and values work.
* Manage change, problem solve and troubleshoot challenging issues and situations with staff and stakeholders, whilst adapting approaches where necessary.

Education, qualifications & training
Essential criteria:
* Educated to advanced degree level in Business Management or relevant subject area
* Significant evidence of continuous professional development; record of CPD shows strong self-development ethos and learning from a broad range of interests
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria:
* Minimum 10 years board experience as a voting executive.
* At least 5 years of experience of the AHSN’s/HINs at an executive level
* Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and reimbursement models.
* Proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing business development, and building strategic partnerships
* Recognised company leadership track record in either commercial, operational, NHS, life sciences, digital/data and AI areas etc.
* Credible at NHSE, National HIN, ABPI, ABHI, Tech UK, NICE, MHRA, NIHR, CQC Level having worked with or at these bodies in the past
* Demonstrable track record of leading high value and complex negotiations.
* Experience of strategic change, commercial growth, organisational development, cost optimisation, quality improvement with practical expertise of delivery and leadership across all domains.
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working in an advisory capacity at an NHS or health and care ecosystem organisation
