Title: Maintenance Engineer

This is a role that offers both autonomy and development, with the opportunity to take ownership of planned and unplanned maintenance activities, driving operational excellence in a pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver critical engineering support for both planned and unplanned maintenance needs, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
* Plan, execute, and oversee routine maintenance tasks, ensuring all activities are completed to a high standard and within established timelines.
* Accurately complete all necessary documentation and ensure it is signed off in a timely manner by the relevant personnel.
* Uphold strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.
* Understand, implement, and promote a cGMP-compliant culture, ensuring that all work areas meet the highest housekeeping and safety standards.
* Utilise SAP to log and track maintenance activities and assist colleagues in learning SAP functions.
Qualifications:
* Completed Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally with a HNC/D qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Completion of the Engineering Multi-skilling training/development program, reflecting the dual aspects of the role.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within teams and with other departments.
* Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility and a proactive approach to problem resolution.
Experience:
* Previous experience within the pharmaceutical industry is highly advantageous.
* FMCG experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
* Strong mechanical background with a working knowledge of electrical systems.
* Sound understanding of GMP practices and the ability to implement them in day-to-day activities.
* Familiarity with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
* Experience in filling and packing machinery maintenance is highly preferred.
