We have September referrals for tutors able to provide face to face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Northampton and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a tutor who can support for a minimum of 10 hours per week (flexible) with a view to increase if needed.
As a 1:1 tutor, you will need to plan, develop and provide individualised programmes for students.
The ideal candidate for this LAC Tutor role would have:
* Tutor experience working with students with SEMH challenges.
* Able to implement baseline assessments to assess where the student is currently working at.
* Confident to work professionally with residential staff, Social Workers, and other Local Authority professionals.
* Able to deliver engaging, innovative lessons to help keep students engaged in their education.
* Able to offer emotional support to vulnerable children where required, acting as a positive role model.
* Committed to the education of this vulnerable young person.

In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
