Contract: Full Time, All Year Round, 37 hours per week (10am-6pm)
Salary: Grade B - £25,136 - £27,398

What we are looking for:
To be successful in the post, we want a dependable Premises Assistant to undertake a range of duties from day-to-day repairs to waste collection. You will take instruction from the Premises Manager, work well as a member of an established team and have a flexible approach to working. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a similar type role, however transferrable skills from a comparable role or background will be considered.
The ideal candidate will be able to support their team, and maintain the security of the premises and its contents (including the operation of fire and burglar alarms and key-holder responsibilities), lighting, heating and cleaning of premises (including the maintenance and operation of plant), providing porterage, defined handyperson duties, and other duties arising from the use of premise sharing their enthusiasm and commitment with both the department and to the students. An ability to work collaboratively is essential as we are a strong team.
This role sits within the wider Cabot Learning Federation Estates and Facilities Team. You will undertake a wide range of duties including:
Responding to a demanding and varied workload
Helping to ensure the grounds and buildings are open, clean and hazard free
Conducting required compliance tasks
Record keeping
Stock replenishment
Inbound and outbound delivery duties
Setting-up meeting rooms/assembly hall
Reactive repairs to the buildings and grounds
Seasonal weather duties (e.g. clearing of snow, gutters and drains)
Maintenance, painting and decorating
Forming good working relationships with colleagues
Promoting and encouraging a strong Health & Safety culture
The successful candidate will receive training in fire safety, asbestos awareness, control of legionella, site safety and various compliance checks required by law.
