My client is seeking several skilled Pipefitters to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various settings. The Pipefitter will be responsible for ensuring that all piping systems operate efficiently and safely.
Duties
1. Repair and install commercial heating parts to communal dwellings.
2. Repair and maintain pipework; re-pipe as required.
3. Replace thermostatic valves, circulation pumps, and radiators and associated control within the dwellings.
4. Maintain excellent communication with tenants to keep them updated on repairs.
5. Be willing to work on call-out as part of a team rota.
6. Manage van stock correctly and ensure all relevant paperwork is submitted to replenish stock, ensuring first-time fix where possible.
7. Ensure mobile PDA device is used correctly at all times and faults are reported quickly to your supervisor/manager.
8. Perform any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the contract manager.
Experience
1. Must have previous experience working as a commercial heating wet worker.
2. Good knowledge of communal heating plants.
3. City and Guilds Level 2 or 3 in plumbing.
