Sutton Croft are proud to be working with partner agencies to manage a block of supported accommodation for a disadvantaged group of residents in Crawley, West Sussex.
We are looking for a Project Support Officer to work with us on a highly flexible part-time basis during 2025.
This is a varied but rewarding role where no two days will be the same and you will be able to make a positive impact on people's lives.
Working to support our Service Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring we meet the project requirements:
* Being an effective presence on site when required
* Liaising with contractors where minor works are needed in the property
* Providing some low level support to help tenants manage their tenancy (setting up utility accounts, liaison with caseworkers etc)
* Building and maintaining a professional relationship with tenants
* Having ownership of key tasks to completion
* Inspection of properties to monitor condition
* Supporting the Service Manager with administration and following up rent payments
* Providing general admin support for the team, including assisting with tenant enquiries
The successful candidate will be:
* Someone who has a positive, proactive and problem-solving approach
* Generally happy pitching in with whatever needs to be achieved each day
* Highly organised, efficient and able to manage and prioritise their workload
* Able to work with attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
* An effective communicator and able to engage with tenants who may have little experience of renting a home and/or for whom English is not their first language
* IT literate and confident using Microsoft Office products and cloud based databases
* Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
The role is for 20-25 hours a week, ideally worked across 4 or 5 days a week, but exact working patterns are highly flexible and open to discussion.
This is an initial 12 month contract until the end of 2025, with potential for extension depending on business need. We are looking for a candidate who is able to start quickly.
The position is based on site in Crawley town centre, within close proximity to Crawley railway station, County Mall and bus station. Free parking is available on site. Some work can be done from home but you will also need to be able to work on site in Crawley at times. Due to the needs of our client, the need to attend on site can arise with minimal notice. You will therefore need to live within easy access of Crawley. Candidates seeking a majority work from home job should not apply.
This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check due to working with disadvantaged groups.
