Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Senior Practitioner, Band 6 on Cwm Seren Low Secure Unit which is a male 14 bedded low secure unit in Carmarthen. The successful applicant will have experience of working in an in-patient setting and will demonstrate dynamic and innovative practice. The Service strives to provide high quality secure services inpatient mental health care to the local population and the post holder would be expected to demonstrate leadership and resilience in the face of the day to day clinical, managerial and professional demands of the role. Main duties of the job The post holder will be a qualified and registered Mental Health Nurse and will provide clinical leadership to an established and developing team of clinicians. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate they have the skills, knowledge and experience to provide clinical leadership to manage the service, will require excellent interpersonal communication skills, be able to work across agencies and services and demonstrate a high level understanding of local developments. The post holder will be expected to take charge in the absence of the Ward Manager who has overall continuing responsibility.
