The Environmental Assurance and Protection(EAP) team is looking for a motivated, analytical, hands-on, andresults-oriented leader to work within its Program Managementteam.
Reporting into the EU Head of EAP, theEnvironmental Program Manager will lead EU Launch andRetrofits/Expansions/Initiatives (REI), and other priority programswithin EAP. They will work closely with both Globally and EU EAP,Design & Construction, Preconstruction, Launch, WorkplaceHealth and Safety, and Sustainability with additional crossfunctional relationships with EU Operations, Engineering, andAmazon's central continuous improvementfunctions.
They will seek to build and improveexisting processes and influence tech products to driveenvironmental compliance through existing Change Managementmechanisms, protecting process standardization, and performancemanagement.
This role will also work with ateam of technical EAP Global and Regional experts to define anddeliver against the EU environmental three-year plan and strategy.They will partner with Finance and Procurement to identify savingsopportunities and efficiencies from vendor contracts and services,sharing best practices and to ensure global standardimplementation/lessons.
A successfulcandidate will have an established background in managing programsincluding budget allocation and tracking, building and scalingprocesses with cross functional teams, and delivering results in afast-paced environment.
Successful candidateswill be curious, thinking big, highly motivated and effectivewithin distributed teams. Comfortable with ambiguities, conflictingpriorities and multi-cultural team.
Key jobresponsibilities
- EU EAP owner of the Launch andRetrofits/Expansions/Initiatives (REI) Program, protectingenvironmental compliance through each life cycle.
-Define EU EAP standards and documentation to ingrain environmentalactivities into Launch and REI.
- Improve integration ofEU EAP to EU Launch and REI mechanisms.
- Build robustreporting mechanisms to track environmental compliance activitiesto leadership.
- Define the long-term strategy and endstate for collaboration of Amazon with 3P vendors, to achieve the3Y compliance goals and bridge current gaps;
- IdentifyKPIs to manage performance, data quality and cost of Launch andREI
- Establish mechanisms to control spent andperformance, and align yearly targets with Finance;
-Influence tech teams to develop long term solutions to manageLaunch and REI needs from EAP,
- Create a framework tocover the end to end needs by business type in EU for Launch andREI.
- Build trust with all stakeholders and partners inthe Launch/REI space.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at anadvanced level
- Experience in compliance, audit or riskmanagement
- A completed Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry,chemical or environmental engineering or related field ofstudy.
- Broad knowledge of EU and EU country specificregulations and programs.
- Experience leading change inmultiple site environments (travel up to 50%) and the ability toinfluence those that are not direct reports or within yourorganization
- Excellent written and verbal communicationskills, including comfort interfacing with Sr. Managers andDirectors
- Strong analytical skills with demonstratedproblem solving ability
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Professional (PMP) orequivalent certification
- Experience leveragingtechnology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigmamethodologies to drive process improvements orequivalent
- Master's degree orequivalent
