Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm with half hour lunch Salary guide: £28,000 - £32,000 plus a £1,610 lunch allowance per year 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing after 2 years service Benefits following probation Life assurance Employer pension contribution Car scheme eligibility Private medical insurance Hybrid working Graduate Customs Specialist Responsibilities: Analyse customs costs, focusing on identifying duty and tax savings Ensure all customs are compliant and in line with HMRC regulations Undertake regular process reviews to improve customs processes Arrange transport for warehouse orders and prepare all dispatch documents including manifests and invoices Follow up on all customs clearance and coordinate with customs agents Track and report all costs relating to logistics Coordinate with the logistics team to support the reconciliation and processing of invoices Graduate Customs Specialist Skills and Experience: Ideally holds a degree within a related to field, such as supply chain management, logistics, transportation, etc. Has an interest in customs, logistics, and supply chain and is keen to forge a career within the sector Eager to learn and wants a career that offers progression and opportunities Strong communication skills, confident liaising at all levels Excellent organisation and time management skills Keen eye for detail, able to input data accurately and maintain records IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and logistics IT systems
