The unit provides an excellent place to gain the knowledge, skills and experience at the start of your career in Endoscopy. We also provide a 7 day a week emergency non elective endoscopy service to provide care for our more urgent patients who may present through the emergency department or as inpatients this is supported by a 24 hour nurse on call. All nurses will assist the Consultants in the procedure rooms whilst undergoing Endoscopy procedures. Our nurses will also assist in the recovery of our patients in a dedicated recovery. Our nurses will also be trained in the discharging of our patients safely home.
