We are currently looking for a Deputy Head Teacher to join our Senior Leadership team. The Deputy Head will take lead responsibility for ensuring the best possible curriculum offer, provision, well-being, behaviour, progress and achievement for all pupils. This will be achieved through careful monitoring and holding staff to account for the progress their pupils make. The role will also include class responsibility and the successful candidate will need to: Be responsible for progress and support of our EYFS classes Be responsible for progress and support of our Phonics, Early Reading and Reading through school from EYFS to the end of KS2 Be responsible for a specific curriculum or pastoral responsibility (as indicated above), as required to fulfil the school development plan and that supports teaching and learning. Carry out teaching duties in accordance with the school’s schemes of work and National Curriculum. Meet in full the Professional Standards for Teachers. Model and promote good practice in teaching and learning Model and promote the Distinctive Christian character of our school and its values Contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development Plan. Monitor progress and targets to ensure that each individual student is able to achieve planned outcomes. The ideal candidate will have: Experience of managing staff. Good knowledge of people management practices. Effective leadership skills.
