Peter Mikic Studio is seeking a talented and enthusiastic junior interior designer to join our dynamic team.
Our studio specialises in high-end interior design across luxury private residences, yachts, hotels, bars, and restaurants, delivering exceptional projects both locally and internationally. We are a vibrant collective of Architects and Interior Designers who take pride in fostering a collaborative and inspiring work environment.
The role and responsibilities
As a junior interior designer, you will support the design team in bringing concepts to life while gaining hands-on experience in high-end interior projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
* assisting with design concepts – contribute to the development of creative design ideas and presentations using Adobe Creative Suite
* technical drawing support – help create detailed drawings, including joinery and 3D models using AutoCad and SketchUp
* material and furniture research – assist in sourcing and specifying furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes. Produce mood boards and render elevations
* project coordination – support senior designers in liaising with architects, contractors, and suppliers
* site visits – attend project sites to observe progress and ensure design consistency
* administrative support – help with project documentation and sample organisation
What we’re looking for:
* a degree or equivalent qualification in interior design or architecture
* a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, attention to detail and design skills
* proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD and SketchUp
* a keen eye for design, colour and materials
* excellent organisational and communication skills
* a proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn
