The Role
The Human Resources directorate have an excellent opportunity to work in our Medical and Dental Services team.
The primary focus of this role will be about managing and developing our eJob Planning system (Allocate) ensuring we are optimising its efficiency to meet operational needs as well as providing strategic reporting.
You will have day to day responsibility for the Allocate eJob Plan system. In addition, you will provide advice and guidance to our career grade Doctors on job planning in line with terms and conditions of service.
This role may also lend itself to supporting other key medical and dental specific processes including working time for Career Grade Doctors, New Deal/Working Time and Rotational processes for Junior Doctors as well as supplementary staffing.
About You
You will have experience of working in an HR environment specifically working with HR systems and analytics. You should be confident in proactively providing advice and guidance to employees and managers. You will be a keen problem solver and have strong communication and organisational skills.

What we'll need you to bring
* Minimum of CIPD Accredited Certificate in HR People Practice or equivalent, relevant, practical Human Resources experience in a large complex organisation
* Knowledge of employment legislation, Human Resources policies
* Knowledge of the full MS Office suite
* Knowledge of databases and HR information management systems
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing skills
* Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
* Demonstrate continual professional development
* Excellent IT, Internet and keyboard skills
* Driving licence and use of a car

It would be great if you also have
* Educated to degree level in Information Technology/Systems related subject or equivalent
* Knowledge of terms and conditions of service relevant to the range of staff groups within the NHS
* Experience working in a large, multi-unionised organisation
* Membership of CIPD

Please note this is a Fixed Term post for 24 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in at Kirklands Headquarters, Bothwell, G71 8BB. NHS Scotland have a Flexible Work Location policy.
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday
