About the role
Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Site Manager to work on our Thames Water Capital Delivery Framework covering the Thames Valley region.
As a Site Manager, you will be part the Delivery Team and will be responsible for carrying out the safe, efficient and on time delivery of water and waste water schemes in Thames Valley. Projects will range in size, complexity and value across this framework and may include shafts construction, pumping stations, trunk mains cross country pipe lines, deep drainage, de-watering, directional drilling, tunnelling and MEICA works.
As a Site Manager your duties and responsibilities will be:
1. Project responsibility for the safe, efficient delivery of projects
2. Lead and promote a safe zero harm culture
3. Promote industry leading behavioural culture
4. Follow Morrison Water Services Business Management Systems and processes to ensure right first time delivery in a quality controlled environment
5. Write RAMS, briefings, TBTs, NCRs, control permits and temporary works on site.
6. Manage Engineers, Supervisors, customers and general public impacted by our works
7. Manage labour, plant and materials
8. Developing and delivering Project Management Plans including environment, quality, safety, health and wellbeing.
9. Build collaborative teams
10. Manage specialist Subcontractors
11. Follow and promote company initiatives and ensure we deliver safe, on time, efficient projects that delight our client and the customers
12. Carry out site inductions, tool box talks and the coaching of staff in construction techniques, ensuring appropriate use of PPE
13. Coordinate document control and design management for your project
14. Ensure the timely close out of actions arising from internal and external audits
15. Carry out SHE 6 Audits
16. Reporting safety observations
17. Obtain all necessary permits and approvals for construction activities. Ensure compliance with MWS, Client, regulatory and industry standards
18. Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including progress, challenges, and any changes to scope or budget, to senior management and stakeholder
19. Ensure all mandatory training is complete and kept up to date to the matrix for your role
20. Participate in investigations and continual improvement
The Key Requirements
21. Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in construction management or engineering
22. Experience of water or waste water infrastructure
23. Control of costs and value management
24. Schedule management
25. SMSTS
26. CSCS Black card
27. Health and Safety training or recognised certification such as NEBOSH or similar
28. Understanding of Temporary Works requirements
