Job Description:
Position Overview: As an experienced SRE Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our organization by leading a team of 6-10 Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and taking charge of our SRE capability practice. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and availability of our Ecommerce systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of 6-10 Site Reliability Engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's success.
2. SRE Capability Practice: Take ownership of, standardize, and monitor our SRE capability practices, ensuring that SRE engineers are effectively implementing and operating these practices.
3. Collaboration: Collaborate closely with up to 10 delivery squads responsible for building .NET, Vue.js, and Node.js applications. These applications follow a Backend for Frontend (BFF) architecture and utilize microservices, with front ends integrating into backends through an API gateway, the Gloo Gateway Mesh.
4. Reliability Systems Architecture: Leverage your strong background in cloud distributed computing and reliability systems architecture to enhance the reliability and resilience of our systems.
5. Software Engineering: Apply your software engineering expertise to design and implement solutions that improve the reliability and performance of our Ecommerce platform.
6. Team Development: Foster the professional development of SRE team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles.
Qualifications:

7. Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team.
8. Proficiency in cloud distributed computing and a deep understanding of reliability systems architecture.
9. Strong software engineering skills, with experience in designing and implementing reliability-focused solutions.
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and delivery squads.
Preferred Qualifications:
11. Familiarity with .NET, Vue.js, Node.js, microservices, and API gateway technologies.
12. Previous experience in the Ecommerce industry.
13. Relevant certifications in cloud computing or reliability engineering.
