Involve Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager with an all-round understanding of project packages to manage a prestigious, large-scale industrial project in South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded professional who has a deep understanding of all aspects of construction and can oversee multiple trades and packages across the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all phases of the project, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all aspects of the site, ensuring smooth coordination of various trades, teams, and packages, including civil, M&E, roofing, cladding, and finishing works.
* Take responsibility for the overall site progress, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with specifications.
* Work closely with the project team to manage and coordinate resources, materials, and subcontractors.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, carrying out regular site inspections and risk assessments.
* Maintain quality control across the entire project, ensuring work meets all regulatory standards and the client’s requirements.
* Manage site paperwork, including daily reports, risk assessments, method statements, quality assurance documentation, and progress reports.
* Oversee the snagging process and ensure all issues are resolved promptly.
* Manage project budgets, tracking costs, and ensuring financial targets are met.
* Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and the project team, providing updates on progress and any challenges.
* Resolve any on-site issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the project timeline.
* Provide leadership and direction to site teams, ensuring clear lines of communication and efficient site operations.
About You:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of all trades and construction packages.
* A solid career history, with long-term employment at previous companies and no history of job hopping; we are seeking someone with a proven track record and commitment to their career.
* Relevant qualifications such as SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), CSCS card, First Aid, and other industry-standard certifications.
* Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to handover.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage multiple packages and subcontractors simultaneously.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, able to keep track of multiple moving parts and maintain project timelines.
* Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and cost control.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, quality control, and site management best practices.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage and resolve issues effectively and maintain positive relationships with clients and contractors.
