About the role
We are looking for a Full-Time Child Health Nurse to join our Clinic team in Ntaria. The Child Health Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner works within a multidisciplinary team to support the health and development of Aboriginal children between 0-5 years living in Ntaria, Wallace Rockhole & Utju.
The position has a case management role and carries out clinic-based and outreach work including comprehensive child health and developmental assessments, appropriate referrals and follow-up, maintaining immunisation schedules, and supporting access to appropriate health services for children.
About you
* Current AHPRA registration with a minimum of five years clinical practice.
* Expert knowledge of the NT vaccination schedule in relation to childhood immunisations, accredited to provide immunisation or willingness to undertake accreditation.
* Working knowledge of Child Health and an understanding of current practices, theories, and values.
* Knowledge of child development and how it relates to Aboriginal children in Central Australia.
