Work Hours: 37.5 hours (no on call and extremely limited overtime)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* To administrate and maintain the network infrastructure and central servers on a day-to-day basis including hardware maintenance, cabling, communications, performance issues and data security, liaising with 3rd party service providers where necessary.
* To ensure network storage and performance levels are maintained at an optimum level.
* To ensure completion of daily server backups and perform periodic test restores.
* To maintain, support and develop all company business systems/software ensuring legal compliance.
* To investigate emerging technologies for business advantage.
* To monitor antivirus and firewall services reporting irregularities as required.
* To deliver new user training for both PC and laptop users.
* To ensure that asset registers are maintained for all IT equipment and software.
* To maintain, support and develop business telephony systems liaising with 3rd party service providers as required.
* To maintain and support company data provision ensuring stability, reliability, security and performance.
* To assist with projects in respect to development, implementation, testing and implementation as determined by the Directors.
* To assist Directors with strategy, planning and putting in place contingencies.
* To provide end user support in all aspects related to the Company’s Systems, IT and Telephony equipment.
* To liaise with suppliers on the purchase of all licensing, hardware and software for all aspects of the Company’s IT and Telephony requirements.
* To ensure 3rd party SLA’s in respect to the company’s IT and Telephony services are met.
* Fully support corporate customer’s networks and in-house servers.
* Monitor and action system updates where necessary.
* Provide suggestions for process & procedure improvement.
* Support and administer third-party applications.
* Ensure network security and connectivity.
* Monitor network performance (availability, utilization etc) and test for weaknesses.
* Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
* Document company systems, software, and policies.
* Responsibility for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and solving IT faults across the business.
* Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
* Define network policies and procedures.
* Specify system requirements and design solutions.
* Ad hoc projects/tasks as determined by the Directors.

IT Abilities Required:
* Proven experience in IT Systems / Network support to include but not limited to Cyber security, backend functionality, business systems implementation, fault recovery, hardware & software, setting up user access, Windows software, Mac and Office365 operating systems, server maintenance.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Office Applications.
* Knowledge of internet technologies.
* Knowledge of anti-virus, anti-spam and anti-spyware software.
* Knowledge of hardware and software firewalls.
Education / Tech Awareness:
* Educated to ‘A’ level standard and with a recognised qualification in one or more of the following:
* Microsoft Windows Server
* Microsoft Exchange
* Microsoft Office
* Routers/Firewall
* Desktop Support
