Job Description
As a result of our continued success and growth in the UK, we’re looking for a Document Controller to join our team working on Nuclear New Build projects, specifically focusing on Nuclear Island buildings of Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C and similar projects. You will be responsible for managing the control, distribution, and tracking of project documentation within a highly structured and process-driven environment using ProjectWise. This role requires a high level of precision, organization, and rigor to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage incoming and outgoing documents, ensuring adherence to defined processes and protocols
2. Maintain document control systems within ProjectWise, ensuring accuracy and consistency in document classification, numbering, and versioning
3. Register, track, and distribute project documents efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and receipt acknowledgment
4. Perform quality checks on documents to ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines
5. Control the status of all documents, ensuring that the latest revisions are available and obsolete versions are archived appropriately
6. Ensure that all project stakeholders have access to the correct and latest document versions
7. Implement and enforce document control procedures, identifying and addressing any non-conformances
8. Provide training and support to project teams on document management best practices
9. Generate regular reports on document status, submission progress, and outstanding actions
10. Support audits and ensure documentation is compliant with regulatory and contractual requirements
11. Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and clients to facilitate document flow and resolve any document control-related issues
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in document control, preferably within engineering, construction, or nuclear projects
2. Strong working knowledge of ProjectWise and other document management systems
3. Familiarity with industry standards related to document control and information management
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of precision
5. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large volumes of documents effectively
6. Ability to work under strict deadlines and maintain structured workflows
7. Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
9. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvements
10. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information appropriately
