SUMMARY
ANSYS is the world leader in engineering simulation. Up to 80% of the cost of a product’s development is determined by the decisions made early in the design process, and ANSYS helps its customers reduce this cost with physical simulation tools to make better decisions quicker.
You would be responsible for assisting the product development group create new, and improve existing, physics capabilities for Discovery, providing input/guidance from our engineering customer perspective and mentoring and guiding team members who have a purely software engineering background.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Help developers understand engineering requirements
o Help define user requirements to guide and drive development
o Be a go-to person for requirement clarification (from an engineering perspective)
2. Work with larger customers to understand their workflows and evangelize embedding Discovery
3. Help testers create and maintain a library of minimal, realistic and complex test scenarios to guide development quality and test-driven development
4. Help UX team with engineering requirements and interaction guidance for new designs and to address user issues
5. Aid our customer-facing team with application field testing
6. Aid our customer-facing team and development teams address complex customer requests and problems
7. Provide input and guidance to documentation team
8. Potential to manage development projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Engineering degree (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Civil or similar)
* Professional engineering experience
* Use of simulation software for structural and/or fluid design work (both desirable)
* Experience with 3D Modelling
