Due to service redesign, we have opportunities for three enthusiastic Counselling or Clinical Psychologists (band 7) to progress to Senior (band 8a) in Inpatient Adult Mental Health Services!
* Different locations (Coventry and Warwick).
* Part time/full time hours.
* Flexibility: a third of your role remote if preferred.
* Ideal for those in final training year.
Working in inpatient mental health is a great use of all skills we have as psychologists. It's a great place to learn, develop and progress to a Senior role. The role is diverse, stimulating, and thought-provoking. If you're interested in working with adults with a variety of difficulties and collaborating with the MDT, then this is the role for you. You will have a significant role in developing trauma-informed formulations that inform least restrictive care. We're keen to recruit recovery-oriented thoughtful team players and welcome all conversations if you're curious. You're also very welcome to come and meet some of the team and see the wards.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
* DClin Psych or equivalent qualification in clinical psychology OR doctorate in counselling psychology.
* Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
* Knowledge and awareness of a range of psychological models and how they may apply in clinical practice.
* Well-developed ability to communicate sensitive information to patients, carers and colleagues in a way that addresses psychological resistance and combines appropriate assertion and diplomacy.
* Able to interact effectively with staff from all disciplines.
* Able to build and sustain relationships with people with psychological problems.
* Ability to plan and organise work independently, reliably, and consistently with work agreed and managed at regular intervals.
Experience
Essential
* Experience of working with adults presenting with a range of clinical severity.
* Experience of working in inpatient settings.
* Experience of tailoring psychological assessment and intervention to individual needs.
* Experience of maintaining professionalism in challenging circumstances.
