UPVC Production Manager
Due to substantial investment and ongoing expansion, an exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced hands-on UPVC Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturer experiencing remarkable growth. Based at our Head Office, the ideal candidate will lead a production team to significantly increase UPVC production volumes by 40% to 60%.

UPVC Production Manager Responsibilities:
1. Actively champion production on-site and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Manage all production resources to ensure efficient production activities, while adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance requirements and meeting product and process quality specifications.
3. Support the site in ensuring all UPVC products are manufactured right the first time, in line with customer expectations.
4. Ensure routine production tasks and objectives are completed within agreed time frames.
5. Plan and organise workflows efficiently.
6. Oversee and manage the production team's labour budget.
7. Take accountability for equipment effectiveness, root cause problem-solving, and rapid improvement events.
8. Ensure timely and efficient rectification of any non-conforming products.
9. Maintain high levels of housekeeping on the shop floor at all times.
10. Conduct performance reviews for Shift Managers and foster a positive team spirit within the production unit and across functions.
11. Recruit, train, coach, and develop a multi-skilled production team to fabricate UPVC products.
12. Maintain all KPI departmental information and promote best practice principles in the workplace to achieve output targets.
The working week is from 7.30 am to 4.30 pm yet can be flexible for the right candidate.
UPVC Production Manager Profile:
1. Successful career as a Production Manager within a high-volume UPVC production environment.
2. Excellent knowledge of Lean Six Sigma practices.
3. Effective leadership of medium-sized teams.
4. Thorough knowledge of IT systems with proficient skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint packages.
5. Ideally trained to IOSH Managing Safely, with previous experience of conducting risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures.
6. Experience in maintaining ISO accreditation.
7. Experience in change management and working in a lean manufacturing environment.
8. HNC/HND or above in an Engineering discipline.
