At least one year of experience in repairs is required for this position. JOB PURPOSE: The Maintenance person is responsible for all maintenance and repairs within the Club that do not require the services of specialist contractors. They are also responsible for the control of all goods delivered and transfers of goods within the Club. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY TASKS: To ensure that operating standards and procedures are strictly adhered to within the department To ensure that all statutory requirements are strictly observed within the department To deliver excellent Customer Service as a member of the club team OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.1 To carry out repairs and cleaning relating to the internal and external maintenance of the Club’s premises including the car park 1.2 To carry out heavy cleaning duties within the Club 1.3 To carry high level duties requiring the use of ladders 1.4 To ensure that deliveries are allocated to the correct areas within the Club and moving of stock as and when required 1.5 To ensure that the car park(s) is kept clean and tidy 1.6 To respond to maintenance reports notified by other members of staff 1.7 To ensure that the physical and financial assets, including the property, are maintained and secure 1.8 To ensure strict adherence to current Gaming Act legislation, compliance with Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise legislation, Employment legislation, Health and Safety legislation, Manual Handling and other statutory legislation requirements 1.9 To aid in promoting the organisation’s image within the entertainment/commercial environment 1.10 To ensure that the club is operating within the guidelines as set out by the Audit team 1.11 The responsibility for the receipt and recording of all stock, completing all necessary paperwork and checking the deliveries against documentation 1.12 To maintain accurate records of all goods in, out and within the Club 1.13 To ensure that all loading bay equipment is properly maintained, serviced and cleaned 1.14 To ensure that the loading bay area is kept in a clean and tidy manner and free from obstructions/dangers 1.15 To manage suppliers and external contractors to build longer term relationships 1.16 To carry out other reasonable requests from the Management Team HEALTH AND SAFETY 2.1 To ensure that at all times the safety of all employees together with those members of the public frequenting the Company’s premises 2.2 Adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures ensuring staff operate the venue in a safe manner, and in the event of health and safety issues arising, appropriate action is taken through the Company Health and Safety Representative or other appropriate agencies CUSTOMER SERVICE 3.1 To promote the Company in a positive manner when dealing with internal and external customers or at any other opportunity 3.2 Ensure that personal presentation and profile is such that it reflects well upon the Company 3.3 Respond positively, promptly and appropriately to all customer requests 3.4 To conduct business in a polite and courteous manner 3.5 To ensure that customer service is carried out in line with Company standards and results in complete customer satisfaction GENERAL 4.1 To ensure that the Company’s Equal Opportunities Policy is adhered to at all times and to actively discourage harassment, bullying, victimisation or discrimination of any kind against employees, management or customers 4.2 To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by Management.
