We are looking to recruit a full-time Care Co-ordinator with knowledge of the local geographical area of Canterbury, Folkestone and familiarity of surrounding areas - 37 hours per week Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00 (in addition, on-call duties) to join our friendly team in Canterbury.
MyLife Kent will provide you with full training and ongoing support to enable you to develop and learn new skills.
Essential requirements:
1. Understanding of the scheduling process within the health and social care sector
2. Health & Social Care Level 2 (minimum)
3. Office administration experience: typing, IT & technical skills, computer literacy including Microsoft Office
4. Good people skills with the ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service
5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
6. Ability to remain focused and calm under pressure
7. Strong Administrative Skills
Duties will include:
1. To ensure effective communication with Customers with reference to any changes to care needs and call times.
2. To ensure effective communication with Care Workers regarding any changes to their shift patterns and to provide support where needed.
3. Responsible for allocating all scheduled care calls using our rostering system and meeting the needs of the service user.
4. Responsible for building care runs that are cost-effective and efficient.
5. Liaise with the recruitment team to ensure adequate capacity.
6. Maintain accurate staff records, both computerized and manual, and complete paperwork as appropriate in line with procedures.
7. On-call inclusive.
8. Potential need to cover calls.
9. Full-time driver.
10. Monitor care workers by using a positive approach, carrying out supervisions and welfare checks.

As some travel within the area may be required, applicants must have their own vehicle and all roles are subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS check.
