GMP Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-known and highly reputable Gloucestershire Manufacturing company, on a full-time, permanent contract.
Our client is a highly recognisable and award-winning organisation that specialises in creating military-grade components for both the civilian and MOD sectors. You will be offered a basic salary of up to £23,000. The company is growing rapidly and there is increased demand for the manufacture of our products as well as the design and manufacture of bespoke materials to meet customer specifications.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 5 days, with working hours from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
The company is now looking for an experienced Production Operative to join the existing team to increase our manufacturing capacity as well as meet our customers' quality requirements and delivery dates.
Production Operative main duties:
1. To assemble and disassemble tooling products to defined standards.
2. Mixing and casting of product.
3. To follow all relevant instructions, both written and verbal.
4. To use the skills and techniques acquired during training, to work in an efficient and quality-conscious manner so that product quality and production targets are met.
5. To work sensibly and safely at all times, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and reporting all Health and Safety concerns immediately.
6. Effectively use production machines, equipment and tools to meet targets.
7. Ensure Production paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
8. Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy.
9. The job will require you to be on your feet for long periods of time, as well as heavy lifting following strict manual handling practices.
Production Operative desired skills and experience:
1. Ideally, you will have experience working in a production manufacturing role.
2. Good level of manual dexterity in practical skills.
3. Forklift driver desirable or willingness to undertake training.
4. Good reliability, timekeeping & great communication skills.
5. Positive, self-motivated, and hardworking attitude with a drive to succeed.
6. Organised, logical and structured approach to practical tasks and problem-solving.
7. A team player with a willingness to learn and progress.
8. Responsible for supporting Supervisor to meet targets.
9. Effectively running production machines to meet set daily targets. Quality focused.
10. A good level of English speaking and understanding is essential to ensure all our safety procedures/work instructions can be adhered to fully.
