About the Role:
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students who need additional help in managing their behaviour. You will work closely with teachers and other school staff to create a positive and inclusive environment where students feel supported and motivated to learn. Your guidance will help students manage their emotions, develop social skills, and build resilience to overcome challenges.
Responsibilities:
* Support students: Help students manage their behaviour and emotional needs.
* Assist teachers: Work closely with teachers to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Provide support: Offer one-on-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
* Encourage positive behaviour: Foster respect and cooperation among students.
* Motivate students: Help students stay engaged and focused during lessons and activities.
* Offer support outside lessons: Provide guidance during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities.
* Track progress: Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help them improve.
* Collaborate with the school team: Work with staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
We're Looking For:
* Experience in supporting students with behavioural needs is preferred but not essential.
* A genuine passion for helping students develop emotionally, socially, and academically.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
* Flexibility to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of students.
* University students are encouraged to apply for this role.

* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
