Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 negotiable

We have a new role within a Rotherham based manufacturing business whom we are working in partnership to support their upcoming recruitment drive. With an extremely healthy order book, this is an incredibly exciting time to be joining this business on a full-time permanent basis as an NPI Engineer. They are proud of their impressive staff retention levels, including multiple employees with 20 years + service.
This is an opportunity for an individual with experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) and will be reporting into the Technical Director. You will:
* Lead and manage new product introduction projects from concept to production
* Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
* Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet targets
* Co-ordinate NPI meetings as required
* Produce and develop designs from concept into production, ensuring all design modifications/improvements are captured and implemented
* Interpret Engineering Drawings, Specifications, and CAD models
* Facilitate feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product designs
* Develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes for new products
* Optimise production processes for efficiency, cost, and quality
* Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure processes meet all specifications and standards
* Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders
* Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for tooling and material requirements
* Plan and oversee the testing and validation of new products to ensure they meet all regulatory and customer requirements
This role would suit someone who has previous NPI experience working within the oil and gas or aerospace industry or within a heat treatment, foundry, steelworks, or castings environment.
