Maths Teacher – Immediate Start!
Protocol Education is seeking an experienced Primary or SEND Maths teacher to join a specialist school on a long-term/permanent basis. The school works with students who have Autism, as well as severe and complex needs. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated teacher to deliver engaging maths lessons tailored to the needs of each student.
In this role, you will help students build mathematical understanding in a way that accommodates their unique learning styles. Experience or qualifications in special educational needs is preferred, but not essential. We are looking for someone with a strong foundation in maths, and the ability to make it accessible and engaging for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering maths lessons tailored to students with Autism and complex needs, using hands-on, visual, and sensory approaches to make abstract mathematical concepts more concrete.
2. Developing individualized learning plans that integrate evidence-based strategies to support students’ cognitive development in areas like numeracy, problem-solving, and logic.
3. Collaborating with other professionals to create a holistic learning environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
4. Encouraging a positive and supportive classroom culture where students feel confident in developing their mathematical skills, using interactive resources like manipulatives, visual aids, and adaptive technologies.
