As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school day by supervising lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, maintain a positive classroom environment, and support students in their learning. Key Responsibilities Classroom Management: Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring students remain on task and follow the set lesson plan. Lesson Delivery: Present pre-planned lessons confidently and adapt them as needed to engage students. Behaviour Management: Maintain a calm and orderly classroom environment, addressing any disruptions in line with the school’s behaviour policy. Support for Students: Assist students in understanding and completing tasks where needed, fostering a positive attitude toward learning. Communication: Liaise with teaching staff, heads of department, and senior leadership to provide feedback on lesson outcomes and student behaviour.
