The Governors at Bridlington School are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Maths to join our highly successful Maths Team. You will be passionate about your subject area and able to stretch and challenge pupils of all abilities in all Key Stages. Ensuring the importance of inclusive education for all is key.
The Team
The Maths team is led by a Director and Deputy Director overseen by the Associate Headteacher. It is a highly experienced team that also includes 2 Lead Practitioners, so whatever stage you are in your career, you will receive a lot of support from your colleagues. Teaching Assistants are allocated departments at Bridlington School, so you will also work with 3 specialist TAs who know and understand the Maths curriculum.
The School
Bridlington School is a successful 11-18 maintained school with over 900 students on roll, a number which is rising year on year as our reputation as a centre of excellence grows within the local area. We have a thriving sixth form and a key priority for the school is to grow and sustain our Key Stage 5 student numbers. Students are polite, respectful and keen to learn; 49% are entitled to free school meals, and 25% are also on the SEN register predominantly due to difficulties with literacy and numeracy skills.
