With eight vibrant community-based College Centres across London and Surrey, who serve over 400 students.
Job Description:
They are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our dynamic team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our Lecturing staff to facilitate educational activities for adults with special needs. Your key responsibilities include:
1. Providing individualised support to students to aid their learning process
2. Implementing therapy, health, and well-being programmes as directed
3. Ensuring correct implementation of individual learning programmes
4. Collaborating with colleagues to maintain a positive learning environment
5. Maintaining students' well-being at all times
Required Qualifications:
* Experience in working with individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* Previous experience in caring or voluntary work with individuals with special needs
* Knowledge of best practices in supporting individuals with learning disabilities
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant qualification in Special Education or related field
* Additional training in areas such as therapy or special education
Working Conditions:
* Full-Time position, working across multiple College Centres if required
* Interacting with students with diverse needs and abilities
* Collaborating closely with Lecturing staff, Nurses, and Therapists
