Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Operations Admin Assistant located in Biggin Hill. The Operations Admin Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks to support operations, communication with customers, and general administrative duties.
Operations Admin Assistant Job Specification
We are looking to expand our Operations Department at Biggin Hill Airport to assist with our growing business needs within an exciting and fast-paced industry.
The Operations Assistant is responsible for overseeing the daily operational flying programme and coordinating with each of the company’s departments as needed to ensure the safe operation of every flight while providing the best possible service to our customers. This position involves proactively planning Helicopter flights across the UK as well as Central Europe for new and existing clients, within a diverse company working across various events for differing customers. The candidate will be based at our Biggin Hill Airport facility reporting directly to the Head of Operations.
This role requires exceptional relationship management and customer service skills, as well as a high level of time management and attention to detail which, in turn, will support the professional service that Castle Air strives to provide.
You will:
1. Monitor the daily flying programme, build and prepare schedules and actively flight follow.
2. Flight Plan according to Operations Manual, procedures and regulations including Crewing within the company’s FTL Scheme, considering safety amongst all.
3. Coordinate with the CAMO and Maintenance departments concerning scheduled and unscheduled Maintenance requirements.
4. Manage Handling, Permits (If applicable) and Third Party services related to existing and future flights.
5. Evaluate and initiate the company Emergency Response Plan.
6. Proactively improve personal, technical and company knowledge by speaking to colleagues, department managers and external professionals whilst adhering to group-wide policies and core values.
7. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Operations.
Education & Experience
Experience in an Aviation Operations environment is desirable but not essential.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Scheduling experience or experience in an Operational / coordinator role is advantageous.

* Must possess the legal ability to work in the United Kingdom.
* Must have a full UK Driving license.
