Hours of work:
15 hours per week for each Personal Assistant. The exact working hours and days would be discussed at interview stage, with the prospective employer
Location: GREAT SANKEY AREA OF WARRINGTON
Rate of pay: £12.00 PER HOUR
The client is looking for two personal assistants, but they would not always be working at the same time (sometimes as 2:1 support, but not at all times).
The role is to provide personal and practical assistance, to enable a disabled young man to live an independent and social life, and support him in the community.
The young man would like support and accompaniment to enable him to complete the following tasks:
· Volunteering roles local to Warrington (3-4 hours per day, Monday to Friday), maximum 20 hours per week.
· He would like to attend social evenings (e.g. at a pub), which would include drinking and eating a meal. He can eat independently, but would require assistance to cut his food before eating.
· He also likes to attend rugby matches (Warrington Wolves) as much as possible, and would like support from a personal assistant to attend matches.
· Support to go swimming - this is something that the young man likes to do, but it would not be a requirement, and this would be discussed at the interview stage.
Support with personal care tasks, including assistance with toilet may be required.
CAR DRIVER ESSENTIAL, must have a full clean driving licence for at least 2 years, and be aged 21+ years, for insurance purposes. The successful applicant would be required to drive the client’s own Motability vehicle.

A probationary period will be included for the successful applicant.
The successful applicant would be required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
