Position Summary
As Senior Buyer of Indirect you will provide the sourcing strategy and processes to control and support all departments on indirect (non-product) spend including but not limited to information technology, facilities, travel, telecom, Human Resources, Professional Services, marketing, travel, and office supplies.
This role is located in our Manchester office and is a hybrid role, but some travel will be expected as this role covers the EMEA region. The working pattern will be working 38.75 hours per week, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday working flexibly between the hours of 8am-6pm.
Responsibilities
1. Delivering annual cost savings and working capital improvements.
2. Leading the strategic sourcing for the indirect categories for the EMEA region and supporting the global procurement team with the implementation of enterprise-wide agreements.
3. Responsible for leading the planning, aligning, and execution of key procurement strategies across all indirect categories.
4. Drive strategic sourcing and optimization activities with all functional stakeholder’s enterprise-wide by bringing specific knowledge of the market and suppliers.
5. Negotiate the contract with vendors to ensure favorable terms for Light & Wonder.
6. Ensure effective use of budgets in the spend areas that fall within the area of responsibility and continue to drive savings and value, minimize risk, and further create operational efficiencies.
7. Support the ongoing development of the company-wide procurement processes and partner with all levels of leadership cross-functionally to build impactful, efficient, and cost-effective vendor relationships.
8. Highlighting improvements to our procurement processes and adhering to audit and SOX control requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
9. Ideally CIPS or MCIPS qualified.
10. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office modules such as Excel, Oracle and/or Navision.
11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
12. Problem solving/ analytical skills, with great attention to detail.
13. Presentation and report writing capabilities.
14. Ability to work with and influence several internal and external stakeholders across the regional offices.
15. Flexibility and multi-tasking, to be able to provide strategy for all indirect category areas and collaborate with overseas colleagues to deliver cost avoidance, savings, better payment terms, visibility of spend and sustainable sourcing.
16. Ability to lead buyers on their own product categories.
