EMEA IT Services provides a full range of IT Services to lawyers and supporting business service functions across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Service delivery is organised as a mixture of ‘business as usual’ support functions and an established technology change team. Within the change team, our Project Office delivers projects and programmes. We are looking for a Project Support Officer (PSO) to support the delivery and management of projects and programmes. The Role: The Project Support Officer (PSO) will support the PMO lead in ensuring adherence to NRF delivery frameworks, as well as assisting Programme and Project Managers in delivering against the frameworks. Additionally, they will support PMO activities including but not limited to status reporting, budget tracking, audit readiness. Internal Stakeholders This role will regularly liaise with: PMO Lead Programme Managers Project Managers Project delivery teams Head of Programmes Location This role will either be located in Newcastle (UK). Main Responsibilities Ensuring adherence to delivery frameworks Support monitoring and reporting on adherence Support the establishment, enhancement and embedding of new frameworks, to meet evolving business needs, training/coaching team as required Assisting Programme and Project Managers in delivering against the frameworks Support the documentation of outputs (e.g. project plans, RAID logs, etc.) or coordination of activities (e.g. meetings, minutes, etc.) Supporting PMO activities Support the preparation of regular and one-off reports (presentations, slide packs and Excel-based reports) across the full project portfolio for senior management. Liaise with Project Managers, Programme Managers and delivery teams to gather data for reports Support the preparation for audits such as ISO 27001 Support continual improvement initiatives Candidate Profile Experience of performing a similar role, and in a mature IT PMO environment, in the legal, finance, engineering or other professional services organisation Strong oral and written communication skills and influencing skills to work successfully and confidently at all levels including project and senior stakeholders A passion to add value and drive efficient processes across a leading legal professional services firm, working in collaboration with colleagues with a practical delivery and stakeholder focused attitude Actively looks for opportunities to improve delivery practices, presenting proposals and working with others to implement them Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise their workload effectively High computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office 365 Keen attention to detail Desirable Skills and Experience Experience of PRINCE2, MSP and other project and programme delivery methods, with the ability to demonstrate their practical application Experience in projects and programmes of varying scale and complexity Numerate graduate preferred Diversity, Equity and Inclusion To attract the best people, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone can bring their whole selves to work, have a sense of belonging, and realize their full career potential.
