We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a flexible approach to provide an efficient service for patients, women who attend the Obstetrics and Gynaecology departments in Sunderland Royal Hospital and South Tyneside District Hospital. Applicants must be a holder of MRCOG, be eligible for the GMC Specialist Register in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within six months of the time of interview. Work on a 1:15 rota covering both Obstetrics and Gynaecology Cover sessions including medium risk ANC, GOPD, Caesarean section lists, Day case Theatre, Labour ward is covered with a hot week rotation when the same consultant covers Monday to Friday 8:30-18:00 every day Weekends are split Friday / Sunday and Saturday Main duties of the job Applicants must also have excellent organizational and communication skills, be a good team worker and have experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates. Direct involvement in delivery of NIHR portfolio clinical research trials is highly desirable.
