Team
The Business Analyst is a key problem solver and liaison between business stakeholders, IT, and the wider Change function. Working within the IT Delivery and Change Team, they collaborate across internal and third-party teams to capture and manage business and technical requirements. The role ensures solutions are aligned with strategic goals, meet agreed timeframes, cost and quality expectations, and support the successful delivery of prioritised projects and programmes.
Job Purpose
1. Accountable for preparing, evaluating, and documenting business requirements in line with industry standards and best practices across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
2. Collaborates with project teams to conduct benefits analysis and secure acceptance from business stakeholders.
3. Engages with stakeholders to elicit, challenge, and define clear, prioritised requirements using appropriate techniques such as MoSCoW, interviews, systems analysis, and facilitated workshops.
4. Delivers requirements within agreed timescales and leads the analysis phase of projects.
5. Ensures the full impact of business change is assessed, considering dependent systems and processes through structured analysis, including flow diagrams, data models, and integration use cases.
6. Evaluates time, cost, and effort associated with change; conducts impact analysis clearly identifying risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
7. Works with business areas, Application Support, Data Management, Information Security, SD&T, and Architecture teams to define appropriate, secure, and compliant solutions and processes aligned to business needs.
8. Manages documentation using standard templates, utilises tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and supports collaborative working across delivery teams.

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills at both business and technical levels.
2. Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining effective relationships across teams and stakeholders.
3. Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
4. Excellent time management, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Demonstrates solid IT competency and understanding of technical concepts.
6. Skilled in documenting current and future-state business processes, data flow diagrams, data models, and use cases.
7. Proficient in documenting both Agile deliverables (e.g. epics, user stories, workflows, wireframes, product backlogs) and Waterfall documentation (e.g. business requirements, functional specifications, process maps).
8. Effective workshop facilitation skills for eliciting requirements and aligning stakeholders.
9. Strong analytical and lateral thinking to assess the broader impact of change.
10. Ability to create high-quality documentation and take full ownership of deliverables.
11. Confident communicator across all levels of the organisation.

DESIRABLE SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Experience within the Aviation or Travel industry, ideally within operational domains.
2. Involvement in Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Pricing (RFP) processes.
3. Significant experience across the full delivery lifecycle, including:
1. Business case development
2. Project initiation and scoping
3. Requirements capture and change control
4. Solution development, testing (UAT), and delivery
5. Early life support and benefits realisation
4. Experience working on projects aligned to strategic business priorities.
5. Familiarity with agile and waterfall delivery environments within a hybrid or scaled framework.
6. Ability to build relationships and influence across business and technical teams.
