Our client is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Package Engineer to join their team. This contract position within the distribution and transmission sector, specifically focusing on power distribution, entails playing a crucial role in an advanced plastics recycling project for an initial 12-month contract with an immediate start.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in managing substation and switchgear package vendors through EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects. Responsibilities include designing onshore electrical distribution power systems, managing switchgear vendors, and developing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), load lists, and sizing high-voltage (HV) equipment such as frequency converters and UPS systems. Additionally, contributing to the development of philosophies, specifications, and datasheets is expected. Collaboration and teamwork skills are essential, as the role entails working closely with the lead engineer.
