The Role
As a Quality Engineer with Sizewell C, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the high standards of quality needed for this transformative project. Working under the guidance of the Quality Leads, you will:
1. Support daily Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities, including the creation, review, and management of Quality governance, manufacturing, and construction documents.
2. Contribute to continuous improvement by developing and refining processes, audit plans, and methodologies, ensuring a ‘right-first-time’ delivery approach.
3. Solve complex quality challenges, using problem-solving techniques to enhance project processes and standards.
4. Occasionally travel within the UK to collaborate closely with teams and stakeholders on various project sites.
Your Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will bring:
1. A strong background in Manufacturing, Construction, or Engineering, with experience in an ISO 9001 environment.
2. Proven expertise in project-based quality governance, ideally in high-regulation industries.
3. Proficiency in developing QA procedures, templates, and forms, alongside a thorough understanding of QA best practices.
4. Experience in identifying and resolving quality issues, managing non-conformances, and driving preventive actions.
5. Skills in tracking and analyzing quality performance metrics and creating insightful QA dashboards.
6. High IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, and SharePoint.
7. A detail-oriented, organized approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and a structured mindset in work planning.
