Job summary We are looking a department leader to join our dual purpose outpatient and medical day case unit at Berwick Infirmary We hold multiple clinics of varied specialities Monday to Friday and excellent communication skills are required when working with multiple teams Our medical day case unit provides treatment locally for patients requiring drug infusions, venesection and blood transfusion ect. This is an exciting time to join our team as we prepare to move into our new hospital with the development of additional services. The post holder will ensure safe, efficient and holistic care for patients attending clinics for multiple specialities and assess, plan and evaluate care in our nurse led medical day case unit. Main duties of the job Manage the treatment and care of patients who attend our nurse led medical day case unit, liaising with speciality teams to provide safe and efficient care. Responsible for the daily running of the out patient department, ensuring safe staffing levels and supporting staff on a daily basis. Working closely with multiple teams, providing education and support to the local team to allow us to provide safe care in a rural location.
